About
Family businesses power the national and global economy.
Many families in business aspire to pass down their business from one generation to the next, however complicating factors can get in the way of successful transitions.
Research has shown that business-owning families who engage in formalized planning and follow “best practice” governance systems have a better chance of growth and survival from one generation to the next.
Aspen Family Business Group believes that when we support these businesses and their owning families with resources and education, we also contribute to their local communities by providing jobs and a healthy local economy.
AFBG transitioned to a 501(c)(3) organization so we can do more to address the challenges all family businesses face.
We are harnessing technology to provide newly created content and interactive experiences.
Through podcasts, webinars, workshops, and our proprietary technology we support families in business with tools, skills, and knowledge to address topics such as conflict, communication, decision-making, and implementation of governance structures to support positive generational leadership and ownership transitions.
Our unique financial model removes financial barriers, providing services to families and businesses that have not traditionally had access to personalized family business consulting and best practice governance systems.
Professionals who run our workshops are adherents to our mission and receive a modest stipend for their time.
Help us to empower families.
