Note: Example only.

• Determine the critical skills needed on your Board to best provide the strategic support and oversight required for Owner Value Creation.
• Then assess where those skills reside within each Director’s experience. Depending on the size of your Board, each Director may have one or more of these skills, which would receive a checkmark under that Director’s name.
• Ideally, there should be no gaps in the skills needed that the current Directors cannot provide. The Nominating Committee would use this matrix when recruiting new Directors to fill any gaps so that the Board, as a collective body, is always capable of providing the strategic guidance, support, and oversight that the company needs.
