David Bork founded the Aspen Family Business Group in 1987 when he brought together Leslie Dashew, Sam Lane, Dennis Jaffe, and Kathy Wiseman to implement an early program for families in business in Aspen, Colorado. David was a pioneer in the field of advising business-owning families, authoring one of the first books in the field, Family Business, Risky Business.

Sam Lane, PhD, was headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas and had more than 28 years of experience as a management consultant and psychologist specializing in working with family businesses. He successfully created and implemented individualized approaches to the unique challenges faced by family enterprises.

Joe’s specialties were families in business, families of wealth and family foundations. Since 1978, he helped families communicate better, plan for their future, and grow their tangible and intangible assets.
